Nate:
Here are some important websites with excellent info about Irene in your area:
1. http://www.wavy.com/subindex/traffic/traffic_cams - move cursor on map until your find dot that corresponds intersection of I-64 & Indian Rd to see webcam of traffic and road conditions.
2. http://www.myfoxhurricane.com/ - excellent site with maps of hurricane & live hurricane chat which is very interesting to read at times.
3. Current NOAA forecast - http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCDAT4+shtml/270857.shtml
4. Storm surge map - http://www.vaemergency.gov/sites/default/files/VirginiaStormSurge_Virginia%20Beach.pdf
Either your neighborhood is not categorized on this map or it is a Cat 4 (don't confuse this with the categorization of hurricanes, which would mean that a Cat 4 is really bad. A Cat 4, for the purposes on this map, means very low probability on storm surge - that's good!).
5. Google map that plots your address (which you have to enter) with both the path and the eye of the hurricane: http://crisislanding.appspot.com/
